*M* DISCIPLINE

DISCIPLINE

In bondage there is the act of physically restraining your partner.  Discipline is similar in the sense that now there is the opposite scenario, the other side of the spectrum, where the discipline provides a way to psychologically restrain your partner.

This is done by a pre-established code of behaviour involving rules, punishments and control of behaviour itself.

The discipline involves punishments which are both physical and psychological.  In the physical discipline use of whips, riding crops, caning and the use of “pervertibles” which are basically any items including household ones such as a spatula,  wooden spoon, even a cold cucumber in place of a dildo which you can use to physically hurt your partner.

The psychological discipline involves humiliation.  Some forms of humiliation can even  be done in public for a greater effect.  The Sub (submissive partner) may be flogged,  be forced to wear a collar with a leash attached which the Dom (the Dominating partner) carries,  like someone taking a dog for a walk.  Psychological punishment can even be the complete loss of freedom, such as being  handcuffed spread-eagled to a bed, only to be released at your Dom’s leisure.  This is how discipline becomes part of a structured training.  By continuing this over a long period of time some Sub’s like  to be tattoo’d, pierced or even have their head shaved, showing outwardly that they belong to their Dom and feel an allegiance to them.

This must sound like a terrible practice and for the average person who does not know much about the Discipline aspect to BDSM, they must be disgusted or even horrified that such practices exist.  To those I say,  “Fear not, because this is a sexual practice which provides pleasure to both partners, and pleasure sexually is a good thing, right!”  It must be surprising that the Sub experiences pleasure during discipline, but it is true.  Whether you agree with this sexual practice or not, consenting adults sexually playing this way do not hurt society in any way.  In fact, they have become a sub-culture of their own,  so whether society agrees or not is not an issue.
