I Love You But I Am Not In Love With You – Is Your Marriage Over?

I love you but I’m not in love with you

I love you but I’m not in love with you anymore – What does it REALLY mean?

Can it be  really possible to fall out of love with someone you once loved dearly? Experts will advise you it isn’t . In reality , the whole concept is much more difficult than the word falling implies. As with the phrase “falling down”, one minute you’re up, and the next you’re sprawled on the sidewalk.

It is never like that with real love. Instead, it’s more the notion that over time you’re killing the love that once blossomed within your relationship. When you search your soul, you will discover  that you honestly do still love your spouse . What you’re really meaning is “I love you, but I’m not in love with you any more”. Do you know what ? This situation might be remedied, and your marriage can be saved.

A decrease of loving feelings isn’t something which happens overnight, and there are real, legitimate reasons that it happens. It only makes sense, then, that when you’ll find behaviors or situations that are causing it to happen , then you’ll have to address the difficulties rather than just throw both hands up and quit. In the same way there were real feelings that got the two of you together in the first place , there are still feelings buried beneath the issues that are making you discontented in your relationship. A marriage counselor will sit you down and discuss how you ‘re feeling , but that is not likely to get to the reason for the situation .

A relationship  coach, on the other hand , knows how to enable you to explore the behaviors which might be causing your relationship to fall apart . Obviously you both need lessons in how you can keep your love alive, and you need assistance with rekindling the small spark which is still burning between you. It’s the things you’re doing or else what you are not doing that is pouring water on the flame, and if you can find what these behaviors are, you’re well on the road to exchanging them for more positive ones.

Every marriage has a point where romantic love ends and is replaced by married love. What confounds many couples is that they don’t feel the wild burnings of first love, and they think they just don’t love one another any longer . In fact , they are really closer to the other person  than any time before, but they don’t understand . So prior to deciding to tell your spouse, “I love you but I’m not really in love with you”, seek the guidance of a marriage coach and learn how to rekindle the previous romance so you can stop focusing on “why don’t I feel the love anymore” and start focusing on “how to save my marriage“.
